In 1993, Aboveboard Inc. aired an informercial falsely advertising their “PERFECT” new software, Above Pro One. The software was never fully released to the public due to the overwhelming amount of false information the software claimed to be true. Aboveboard Inc. was sued in the court of law.
The evidence was released in hopes of promoting internet safety to the general population.
