It’s Almost Contest Time
We’re only a few months away from the 2012 What’s Your Story video contest, which will launch in February 2012. The videos from the past two years have been inspirational, educating people of all ages across the globe about using the Internet safely and responsibly. So we’re doing it again!
What can you do now in the months leading up to the contest? Get ready!
If you’re a school:
- Include the contest as part of your curriculum. Your school could win $10,000. It’s good to get it on the calendar now so you have the time set aside. The contest is a natural fit with information technology, audio visual and ethics lesson plans.
- Review past submissions for inspiration. While the submission categories might change, you can still get a sense for what it takes to be a winner.
- Download the “Getting Started”
guide to help teachers & administrators plan for getting classrooms involved in creating an entry
If you’re interested in participating on your own:
- Spend some time reviewing past winners and the video gallery to get your creative juices flowing. While the submission categories might change, you can still get ideas for tone and style
- Start some early planning – allocate time on your schedule, think about talent, brainstorm audio and visual ideas. After all, the grand prize winner receives $10,000!
